Mangir ("the app") is designed with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

Summary

Mangir does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. All your financial information stays on your device.

What Mangir stores

All data you enter — accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, receipts, assets — is stored locally on your device in an SQLite database file. The app has no backend server and no user account.

What Mangir does NOT do

• No analytics or telemetry
• No advertising or ad networks
• No third-party tracking SDKs
• No bank account linking
• No automatic cloud sync
• No background data transmission

Device permissions

• Camera — Used only when you attach a receipt photo to a transaction. Photos are stored locally on your device.
• Storage / Files — Used only when you export a CSV/Excel file or create a backup archive that you choose to save or share.

These permissions are requested only when you actively use the related feature and can be revoked from system settings at any time.

Backups

You can create an encrypted backup archive of your data. The app opens your operating system's share sheet so you can save the archive to a location of your choice (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Files, email, etc.). Mangir does not upload, access, or transmit backup files itself.
